This is more related to street spam than e-mail.  I am having a
terrible problem with people in my area posting street spam signs for
things like "chevychasesingles.org" and "dcsingles.org".  The
registration records point to an entity in India, so that is kind of a
dead end for me.  When I visit the web page for one of these sties, it
is nothing but a web form and has no other links.  I did fill out the
form with mostly phony info and am awaiting contact from a real person.
I did notice in html pages some comments referring to singles.com, but
when I contacted singles.com, they claimed to be unaffiliated with
these *singles.org operators (could be lying of course).  Could anyone
suggest a few more avenues to pursue?  My goal is to track down the
culprits in my area and get them hit with municipal fines for
right-of-way and sign code violations.  Thanks.

Thanks.  Like I mentioned in the prev msg, the India registry info is
simply a dead end, so no need to post that again.  It is not people in
India who are coming here and dumping signs on street corners; they run
the bulletproof DNS/hosting.  Anyways, I was simply asking to see if
anyone could suggest any additional net-abuse related techniques for
tracking down the culprits and getting them hit with a fine.

I stung a local sign placed by the same perps, and was called back by a
sales rep for the San Diego branch of Great Expectations, an otherwise
reputable operation. The Indian asshats are just indiscriminate lead
vendors.

Read and join www.causs.org, and learn to report the violators to local
community code enforcement folks. And shark the signs (cut part of the sign
data out to destroy its usefulness) to waste their money.
