Save the extra bucks. The major difference is the support you can get and some 3rd party software. //Aho

That's odd, what's not to like? We (my IT department and collegues) are using RH9 with no problem whatsoever. In fact, for both server and desktop, RH9 is IMHO the best Linux distro we've ever used. We used RH7.1 and RH7.3 in the past and we prefer RH9. Anyway, RH 7.x and 9 are both good, certainly better than the Win2003 sitting here on my desk's 2nd machine ;-) Shmell

I have copies of both... and the only reasons ( outside of support )
to use rh as 2.1 is the Cluster Management. AS 2.1 is basically RH 7.3
with support. Setup 2 test machines to see if we could make use of the
new redhat database... on running RH 9.0 one running AS 2.1. Setting up
the 9.0 machine was infinately easier and the performance was better.
Save your money and download the 9.0 iso's.

One more thing... we liked RedHat's new Database software. It appears
to be a version of postgres optimized to run on redhat.
